Did they survive, the killers?

ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದ ಹರಕೆಯ ಕುರಿ
ತೋರಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದ ತಳಿರ ಮೇಯಿತ್ತು,
ಕೊಂದಹರೆಂಬುದನರಿಯದೆ
ಬೆಂದ ಒಡಲ ಹೊರೆಯಹೋಯಿತ್ತು,
ಅಂದಂದೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು ಅಂದಂದೆ ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು
ಕೊಂದವರುಳಿದರೆ ಕೂಡಲ ಸಂಗಮದೇವಾ.

The lamb, which was brought
to the festival for sacrifice,
not knowing the immolation, the Kill,
but involved in eating the festoon
in the ceremony, to fill its belly.

The poor duped lamb
know not, the life and death
born that day, to die that day
but did they survive, the killers?
